eventually devotion manifests

From unlikely places where gratitude tests 

Your mettle and lays bare your ego

Did you your destiny trample and forego?

When kindness comes again in waves

will you feel entitled for the way it paves

That you trod on rose petals sprinkled by love 

Given the key will you open the treasure trove ? .
